Some are suppliers of specialized services. Certain of Gibson’s technologies are logical evolutions of existing technologies, like the dermapatches used to take drugs. In Japan, where cosplay is popular and not only teenagers display such fashion styles, cyberpunk has been accepted and its influence is widespread. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex straddles the line between Cyber Punk and Post Cyber Punk. Some writers do, I admit, talk up the delights of creating fiction.

From Doctor Who to the X Files, the science fiction-genre has been around for a while. I think SF is a literature of the in-between classes. War Factory (2016) Stand alone Polity novels: 1. I'm pleased to see that it's increasingly difficult to write a dirt-stupid book, put the word "cyberpunk" on it, and expect it to sell. I got to Toronto early in 1967 and it was the first time I had been in a big city that was pedestrian friendly, not to mention foreign, so I just stayed there.
